The GR Yaris and GR Corolla are seriously capable hot hatches, but the factory gearshift leaves something on the table. The action itself feels sporty enough — it’s the sheer length of the throw that blunts it. Forge developed this short shifter kit to sharpen that up, delivering quicker, tighter, more deliberate gear changes.
Designed in-house on SolidWorks by Forge’s engineering team, the CNC-machined billet linkage clamps directly onto a section of the OEM component to shorten both up and down shifts. The design is fully adjustable, offering a throw reduction of between 40% and 60%, so you can dial the shift in to suit your own driving style rather than settling for a fixed compromise.
The shifter body is machined from 6082 aerospace-grade aluminium and finished in black and red anodising for long-term protection and durability. A machined stainless steel adjuster pin locates precisely into the existing gear cable, tightening up the whole mechanism for a cleaner, more positive change.
Like every Forge product, the kit ships with comprehensive fitting instructions. No specialist tools required, and installation typically takes under an hour.
